The student Welfare Organization in Inner-Finnmark (SSO), is the student welfare organization for students attending Sámi University of Applied Sciences. We can help you with housing, kindergarden-services and good quality food while you are studying in Kautokeino.
The organization was started July 1st 1995, and have since aimed to give the best care possible to both domestic and foreign students living in Kautokeino.

We know it can be hard to move to a new country, and there are so many things that can be totally different from your native country. But hey! You dont have to struggle with the transition yourself, or worry about how to get started!

Our welfare services:
Housing
SSO has a total of 24 apartments and 18 dormitories availible for students, all in close proximity to the University.
Kindergarden
Our designated student-kindergarden provides daycare for childen between 9 months and 5 years.
Cafeteria
In the University cafeteria we serve fresh, good and healthy food to our students for discounted prices. You can also rent the canteen and kitchen for private and public happenings and celebrations.
Help and information
We can help you with everything from translations to questions about daily life and practices in Norway!
